When using a template created in SignTime, if the original file needs to be modified or replaced, you can replace only the file while keeping the existing template settings, such as fields and signers.
Please note that the procedure differs depending on whether the template has a sending history.
Refer to the appropriate section below.
■ For Templates That Have Been Sent at Least Once
Templates that have been sent at least once cannot be edited directly. In this case, you need to clone the template before making changes.
The copied template retains all field settings from the original template, allowing you to replace the file.
Steps
Clone the template.
From the cloned template, click “Edit Template.”
When the “Add Fields” screen appears, click “Back.”
On the “Setup a Template” screen, upload the replacement file using “Choose File.”
The existing fields are retained, and you can also add, delete, or edit fields as needed.
■ For Templates That Have Never Been Sent
Templates that have never been sent can be edited directly.
Steps
Click “Edit Template.”
When the “Add Fields” screen appears, click “Back.”
On the “Template Settings” screen, upload the replacement file using “Choose File.”
